When a professional in the rehab center is administering substance abuse management they have to deal directly with the addict on a personalized level. It is important to find out if the person was influenced into doing drugs or this is something that they treated themselves to on their own. The reason for the unearthing is to become aware of low self esteem and how much control the person has in terms of how they will make progress in their recovery.
